Westport Pools chooses to build only concrete swimming pools. We use the same construction techniques on backyard swimming pools in St. Louis that we use on large commercial aquatic centers.

Concrete provides limitless design possibilities. While fiberglass and vinyl liner pools come in standard designs, concrete can be shaped and designed to fit both the site and the needs of our clients. Water features such as waterfalls, beach entries and custom steps and benches can easily be added to a concrete swimming pool. Aesthetically a wide variety of surfacing options are available to add color and texture to the swimming pool. Finishes include various types of plaster, paint and a pebble surface in a wide variety of colors.

Concrete provides the most durable swimming pool. Concrete swimming pools work in all climatic conditions, especially areas like St. Louis that experience freeze thaw cycles. The durability of concrete has been proven in all types of construction.

We use the shotcrete method of concrete construction. Shotcrete is concrete conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto the surface. A major advantage to this method is that the shotcrete undergoes placement and compaction at the same time due to the force with which it is projected from the nozzle. Additionally, it can be impacted onto any type or shape or design.
